My father works in CT, but lives in MA. He has Anthem BC/BS through his CT employer. I am a resident of NH, technically, but I used to live in MA before my parents got divorced, and I went to college in MA. I have been on his health insurance for a while now, while going to school full-time for 3 years. This summer I graduated with a Bachelor's, but am taking courses full-time in the fall again so that I can get into a grad school program (the classes, however, are undergrad classes, not graduate). I just started (1 June) working at a human services org part-time. I have been given the option to accept a full-time position, likely sometime in August or so. They offer health insurance, but only providers in MA (I am in the process of moving to VT). I want to know if this is legal, my dad kicking me off his insurance, even though I go to school full-time right now (yes, during the summer, to finish classes to graduate and get my diploma in September), and even though I'll continue to be in school full-time this fall and possibly longer. I also want to know if I can or should take legal action against him, since there are several bills he has NOT paid that have gone to collections or are about to go to collections. He is ruining my credit. Our divorce papers state that this is his obligation to us! It is unfair that my credit is being ruined. He definitely has the money (makes over 60K a year, just bought a new car in cash!!, and is paying in full for his wife to go to photography school just because). Ok, my mother let my 14 year old son drive her car around the yard. He somehow managed to hit the house, both my son and the house are relatively unscathed, The car on the other hand is a different story. Lots of info, sorry! My car was parked on the street and hit during the night. I drove the car to the repair place the following morning and the airbag deployed on the way there. (Stupid, I know, I wasn't thinking). My insurance company, GEICO is insisting that the damage is not consistent with a hit and run accident. They have taken recorded statements from me and my boyfriend. They have contracted an independent accident reconstructionist to read the airbag deployment. The reconstructionist originally told me that he was unable to retrieve the data, but the insurance company is now telling me that he was able to get a partial reading. And that it shows that the airbag deployed as a result of impact. The airbag did not actually fully deploy. There is no powder or injury to me to justify a complete deployment. Does anybody know if they have the right to deny my claim based on suspicion? They keep trying to make me say that my boyfriend was driving the car, which he wasn't. We were in the house together all night. Also: car was in previous fire; severe damage to front of car, all repaired. accident happened in CA, full coverage policy written in GA I know its a lot of info. I was thinking of holding off on getting insurance for car #1 and start a policy for two cars at the same time. Dad's Car Insurance Coverage for My Car Accident?

I was in a fender bender, rear ending a truck in my Mazda 3. The collision cause minor damage to the Ram1500 rear bumper, but because I tried turning to dodge it, it broke it my headlight, scrunched my hood, and the driver door doesn't open well. Basically, the car was mine. Title under my dad's name until 4 months ago. Now under mine. The car is insured by my dad. I was not on the insurance. Since the car has been towed to the shop, the insurance company has opened an investigation to straighten things out. They are wondering if it is under my name, and my dad's insurance, why I was driving it and not on the plan. My brother thinks they are trying not to pay for the damage, I'm just hoping they will.
